Whos behind Triforce
Very few people have the experience of coaching health and fitness that James Griffiths has, because very few people have done what he has done, and even less have dedicated their life to sharing that experience and passion with people of all shapes, sizes, sexes and ages.
Before the celebrity clients, the pro sportsmen and women, the Olympic and Paralympic athletes that he’s supported.
Before the gym he built from scratch got voted the UK’s best independent gym.
Before lifting the Dinnie Stones (all 332kg of them), completing the highest altitude workout ever recored on top of Kilimanjaro, the marathons, mastering calisthenics, the martial arts competitions and winning English titles as a lightweight strongman.
Before all that, James started his coaching with kettlebell training. Effective, simple, versatile and forever challenging. The more he used them, the more he got out of them. The more he shared them. The more it was obvious. Kettlebell exercise is unbeatable as a complete, whole body health and fitness solution for every type of person and every fitness level.
In 2009 he started training people outdoors in parks, driving many kettlebells around in a pick up truck. The plan was simple. Make exercise fun, keep it effective, and to include everyone…
The plan hasn’t changed, but what James has learned along the way has made him a respected authority on truly effective exercise and he’s one of the longest standing full time health and fitness coaches in the UK today.
“Finding the best exercise methods, making them relevant and fun for normal people with specific goals. It started as a hobby, became a job, now it’s an obsession. Professional sportsmen and women, paralympic and olympic athletes, TV personalities… mums, dads, 4 year olds, 82 year olds… and everyone in between. A lot of different kinds of people have had their health and fitness horizons broadened, made more colourful and a lot more exciting thanks to the work we do.
Nothing TriForce does is based on current trends or stunts to get new customers. I want to have fun getting fitter while minimising my risk of injury and serious illness. We do the research, test systems against our own experience and only share the very best solutions with our members.
One thing that I’ve learned is it’s always better to pull people towards their goals than to push them. Leading by example is at the core of everything I strive to achieve for myself, for the TriForce community.”
