Dakar

Named after the worlds toughest motor race, The Dakar Rally is an annual, 10–15 day, multi-stage, world-renowned rally-raid endurance event featuring cars, bikes, and other vehicles traversing thousands of kilometres of intense, off-road terrain.

The TriForce Dakar challenge will make you tougher, faster, stronger and fitter. It doesn’t matter what shape, size, age or level you’re starting from. This month your going to see a lot of progress with this challenge.

Strength, stamina and skill is what Triforce delivers, but adding speed in to the mix only amps up your results.

The challenge:

Using two kettlebells for all long cycles (double clean and presses), complete the sequence in order for max reps. Only the long cycle reps count towards your score.

  • 0:00-02:00

    • 200 meter run

    • Max reps KB long cycle in remaining time

  • 1:00 minute rest

  • 03:00-6:00

    • 400 meter run

    • Max KB long cycle in remaining time

  • 2:00 minute rest 

  • 8:00-12:00

    • 600 meter run

    • Max KB long cycle in remaining time

Movement standards

Long cycle

  • Clean two kettlebells from below your hips. The kettlebells must both be on your chest after the clean with your elbows under the kettlebells before your press them over your head. From the rack position your can perform a push press, using the power of your hips and legs to drive the kettlebells over head. Elbows must be locked out above your head, with your arms in a vertical line with your ears, and your legs and hips locked out with your feet stationary for a rep to count. Control the kettlebells back down to the rack position after locking out the rep. Then you can drop the kettlebells below your hips to start your next clean.

  • Womens Novice - 8kg

  • Womens Intermediate - 12kg

  • Womens Elite - 20kg

  • Mens Novice - 12kg

  • Mens Intermediate - 20kg

  • Mens Elite - 28kg

Recording your score:

  • Click on the “Submit Your Score” button at the top of this page or use the main menu navigation to go to the TriForce Scoreboard page where you can also find a link to submit a new score.

  • Complete the form with all of your details and the email connected to your TriForce account.

  • When selecting your “Weight class” pick the relevant category for you.

  • For the Dakar challenge enter your reps in the “Challenge Part 1” field.

  • Leave the other fields blank, so don’t put anything in the “Challenge Part 2”, “Challenge Part 3” or “Challenge For Time”.

  • Click submit

  • All scores are updated at midnight every day so allow 24 hours for your new score to show on the TriForce Scoreboard
